A Wonder must be built at the end of each age before you can advance. Each ingame Wonder is based on the equivalent of a real-world 'Wonder', with notable exceptions within the modern age, as well as a view structures based on advancements. The Future Age Final Wonder is based on research currently being done, but not yet realized, and will have no effects on the empire once it is built, but will instead trigger a world-wide endgame scenario, not yet revealed. Wonders serve a variety of purposes such as improving research times, boosting resource production, or providing an extra build slot. Each Wonder takes 4 hours to build with the exception of the final wonder which takes 24 hours to build. You cannot have two wonders with the same special effect (no two extra construction slots, no two research queue slots, no two things from idle population (The Louvre cannot be build when you have The Stock Exchange)).
