The Flying Machine is the first of its kind unlocked in the game. It is the very first flying unit to be unlocked. This is very useful as you can now run air-raids on resource tiles, which decrease the amount of time taken to reach these tiles, as the Flying Machines have a much greater speed than any other unit unlocked at that point. Air-raids work the same as sending in [[Scout|scouts]] to check out a tiles military protection, but this can also do a great deal of damage to the tile as well.

Air-raids work the same as sending in scouts to check out a tiles military protection, but this can also do a great deal of damage to the tile as well.
