FeudalBarracks

Barracks allow the training of infantry and other military units for your empire and makes an essential point of any defensive force. Higher levels increase the training efficiency and unlock specialist unit variants.

As your empire expands, it is very wise to keep a strong millitary to protect you from barbarians, and the bulk of these will be infantry units. Both ranged and melee units are unlocked by the barracks. The military units can be used for defending, or sent to attack tiles that hold valuable resources like silk and oil.

Trivia[]

Originally, the Barracks was required for all unit training, and research restricted the types of units an empire could train. Now, only the respective support building is required to unlock and train a unit.
