Library (Research) was available in Closed beta, but does not exist in the VIP version of the game. The article is being kept for historic purposes. The VIP version of Library (Research) can be found here.

Library is a research technology that is given at the beginning of the Ancient Age. Libaries can be used to learn new skills for the price of gold. Time between different skills can vary.
