A Foundry as seen in the Renaissance Age

A Foundry is enabled by researching 'Foundry' during the Renaissance Age which requires the player to spend 35,000 gold. Foundry is one of the various refineries found in the game and the third one which can be accessed via a research (the other being Sawmill and Stone Mason). This building is used to refine Iron and boost iron production. A level 7 Iron Mine is required to build this refinery. The Flying Machine also requires this building in order to be trained.

Trivia

• Although the Foundry is a resource enhancer, it is required to build this building in order to create Flying Machines, unlike other units which require a military biulding in order to be created.
