The Warehouse replaces the Storehouse in the Classical Age.

Each warehouse can protect 2500 resources (chosen by the player) per warehouse level and also a certain quantity of every ressource that cannot be modified (12625 for level 1 for example).

Pre-Release and Trivia[]

In the pre-release Classical Age, it does not require Warehouse to be researched before it is built, nor does it add 200 population to the city its built in (more if The Great Aqueduct is built, approx 250 population). This means the tactic many people used to place an unusual amount of warehouses with a Tax Office or a Bank in the Industrial Age is likely invalidated, as their gold producing potential and population bonus appears to have been removed.
